Responsibilities:
Provide 1st line desktop and application support to users
Problem determination and resolution of issues relating to desktop, networking and telephony (hardware and software)
Ensure all issues are logged into internal ticketing system
Monitor, progress and close tickets whilst ensuring user satisfaction through pro-active updates and escalation where necessary
Liaising with 3rd party suppliers
Managing user accounts and system access
Carry out daily and weekly system checks
Obtain quotes and progress purchase orders for hardware and software
Deployment of new hardware and software
Required Skills:
Understanding of Windows and Mac Desktops
Ability to follow documented processes
Excellent customer service skills
Effective management of users’ expectations
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Useful Skills:
Understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS & DHCP)
Understanding of Linux
Understanding of VoIP
Understanding of Active Directory & LDAP
Knowledge of Open Source Software
Experience & Qualifications
Experience using Windows & Mac Desktops

This role will report to the Service Delivery Manager although it is expected that the individual will work largely independently and need minimal supervision.
Travel Some travel may be required for this role.
